President
Mestre presented the newest proposal from Cobb County DOT
regarding the purchase of approximately 800 square feet of
property abutting Austell Road. This is in relation to the
Windy Hill extension project. The County has accepted the
Lodge’s counter offer of $15,000.00 for the land in question.
Brother Gaynor made a motion to accept this offer and Brother
Shrodes second that motion. The Executive Board recommends the
acceptance of this offer by the membership present. Motion
passed to ACCEPT to offer by all members present.
Treasurer reports the
financial health of the lodge is okay. A complete
financial statement is available during each monthly meeting or
available from the Lodge Treasurer upon request.
President
Mestre advised the membership that a 3rd group of
dancers has asked to rent the Lodge on Thursdays and occasional
Fridays. These days do not conflict with any other scheduled
use and would bring in an additional $60.00 per use to the
Lodge. The 3rd group has been accepted, but all
three groups will or have been advised that EFFECTIVE
JANUARY 1, 2010 the rent for non-members will be
$100.00 per use. The standard rental cost of $50.00 per use
for ALL members will remain in effect.
This member rental fee affects any use of the Lodge whether it
is used for a meeting, training, or party and is meant to offset
the utilities and up-keep of the Lodge.
President Mestre addressed
the up-coming National Conference to be held in Long Beach,
California from August 16th – 21st. This
issue has been brought up at the last three meetings and the
delegates were voted on and notified at this time.
Delegates: David
Stone, Mike Brice, Tom Spruill, Billy Ray Blocker and Lance
LoRusso.
State Officers attending:
Steve Gaynor (2VP) & Jorge Mestre (State Trustee)

Critical Incident Lodge Attorney-

Members "do not"
need the approval of the legal committee if you are
involved in a critical / use of force incident. The member or his
representative holds sole responsibility for contacting one of our four
attorney's should the
need arise.
If you are in need of an attorney for any other purpose a member of the Legal
Committee must be called before contacting an attorney. If you do not clear the
contact of an attorney through the Legal Committee the Lodge will not pay for
the legal services.
