Lodge Business

Reminder at the July meeting membership voted to continue providing a lodge attorney for critical incidents and administrative actions.  Caps of $5,000 for critical incidents and $2,500 for administrative actions per member/ per incident were voted on and accepted by the membership.  Brochures have been distributed with the information.

The lodge Secretary has removed 84 members from the lodge rolls due to non –payment of dues.  Lodge dues are due on 1 January 2008.  If your dues are past due and you have been removed from the rolls and you wish to reinstate your membership it will cost $78 plus a $5 penalty.  We hope every member realizes the value of a membership in our lodge.  The most important benefit is access to a lodge attorney should the need arise.  Where else can you get legal representation for only $78 per year?

Wal-Mart on Roswell Rd. @ Cobb Pkwy. donated $1,000 to the Shop with a Cop program.  Many thanks for their support.

Treasurer reports the financial health of the lodge is okay.

Members voted to pay four of our current members due's who are deployed to the Middle East.

Members voted to renew our membership in the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce.

Members voted to send President Pierce & Secretary Spruill to the FOP "Leadership Matters" Conference in Nashville TN  (February 2008)

Legal Representation

Critical Incident Lodge Attorney-  Click Here for details

Members "do not" need the approval of the legal committee if you are involved in a critical / use of force incident.  The member or his representative holds sole responsibility for contacting one of our four attorney's should the need arise.

If you are in need of an attorney for any other purpose a member of the Legal Committee must be called before contacting an attorney. If you do not clear the contact of an attorney through the Legal Committee the Lodge will not pay for the legal services.
