The next regular scheduled Lodge meeting is Wednesday,
March 7th, 2007 at 4:30pm. Five Officers and Twenty members were present.
The session was opened with a prayer and the pledge by Brother David Stone. Brother
Brice won the $50 attendance award.
Thanks to the FOPA for sponsoring the Chili Cookoff. For those of you
that missed it there we 9 pots of outstanding chili for
consumption. Congratulations to Ilene Sparks for winning
the Chili Cookoff and the $50 gift certificate to Chili's
Restaurant.

Lodge Business
The time has come to pay your
2007 FOP dues. Please send a check for the amount of $78
to FOP Lodge 13, P.O. Box 360, Marietta Ga. 30061. Please
send your due's "Before" April 1st to avoid a $5 late fee. We hope every
member realizes the value of a membership in our lodge.
The most important benefit is access to a lodge attorney should the need arise.
Where else can you get legal representation for only
$78 per year.
Membership approved the
expenditures of funds to sponsor the "Las Vegas Night Social" at
the lodge on March 10th.
Membership
voted to send $200 to the State Lodge for the
Officer Relief Fund. Two of our officers
received assistance from the fund last year.

officially sponsored by the Fraternal Order of
Police
The
financial condition of the lodge was presented by
Brother Mestre.

Members "do not"
need the approval of the legal committee if you are
involved in a critical / use of force incident. The member or his
representative holds sole responsibility for contacting one of our four
attorney's should the
need arise.
If you are in need of an attorney for any other purpose a member of the Legal
Committee must be called before contacting an attorney. If you do not clear the
contact of an attorney through the Legal Committee the Lodge will not pay for
the legal services.
